Transgender people are introduced as children who identify as a gender other than their biological gender.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The book asks students \u201cwhat makes you feel like a boy, a girl, or neither,\u201d and then the book reinforces that students are what they feel like. In addition, students should think about whether they would change gender for a year, or like a reka changing gender halfway through life. Metemark is introduced into the mix of confusion that it is hermaphrodite.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The book picks up again on the \u201cnorm critique\u201d that was introduced in Mylder 3, and talks about \u201cgender expectations\u201d and \u201cgender roles,\u201d which students must learn to break away from and not relate to. and the first thing written is that the earthworm has two sexes and can mate itself. The second question to ponder is whether a boy is a girl if he wears a dress. Further down the page you can read what the teacher&#039;s guide answers to that. After the children have been introduced to &quot;gender identity&quot;, they learn that gender is about what you feel you are. The children learn that they can feel like a boy, a girl, both or neither or something completely different. Then the children are asked to talk about what makes them feel like a boy or a girl (or other things?). Not pluralistic, but as a new reality. &quot;Non-binary&quot; and transgender are explained as all identities that do not match the gender you were born with. These are radical theories.\u00a0<br><br>Furthermore, the students, 9-year-olds, are challenged to find out who Espen Esther Pirelli Benestad is and Emma Ellingsen. Benestad is the country&#039;s leading trans activist (self-proclaimed) with a fluid gender identity, while Emma is a celebrity influencer born a boy. A simple search tells us that Emma&#039;s story is that as a little boy he played with &quot;girl things&quot; like dolls and he liked dresses, which is why they realized he was a girl. While Pirelli Benestad describes himself as a gender fluid who has made a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nrk.no\/video\/visste-du-at-det-finnes-sju-kjonn_257951\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">movie about 7 genders<\/a>.<br><br>If the textbook encourages documenting these two stories and their perception of gender, the textbook should really also include someone who has regretted their &quot;gender change&quot; to get the whole picture. That someone regrets and realizes that there was nothing wrong with their body or other gender identity.
