Our children deserve a balanced and scientifically grounded education. As parents and grandparents, we must engage to ensure that they receive true and objective knowledge – not one-sided ideology.
How you can contribute:
- Talk to friends, family and colleagues about the importance of scientifically based education.
- Share information on social media.
- Support organizations that work for scientifically based education.
- Attend lectures and debates to strengthen your knowledge and contribute to increased awareness
- Get involved in school policy to ensure the right teaching materials.
Parents' responsibilities and opportunities
As parents, we have the right and duty to ensure a good education for our children.
What can you do?
- Get together with other parents to discuss school textbooks and teaching content.
- Ask for assistance from Foreldre.net or Kristent Ressurssenter.
- Consider private or nonprofit schools.
- Ask the school for exemption from teaching queer theory.
- Require schools to teach about gender in a scientific manner.
Citizens' Initiative: Your vote counts!
If at least 2% of the residents of your municipality support a proposal, the municipal council must consider it.
Examples of suggestions:
- «"The municipality must ensure that school textbooks convey gender in a scientific manner."»
- «"If suitable textbooks are not available, the school owner must develop a teaching plan based on critical thinking."»
Teachers' responsibilities and opportunities
The school should promote scientific thinking and critical reflection.
As a teacher you can:
- Avoid one-sided textbooks – you are not obligated to use specific books.
- Create teaching plans based on science.
- Inform parents and give them the opportunity to provide input.
Get involved
We are part of a large group of committed parents, teachers, local politicians, professionals, professors and pastors who are working to expose queer theory in society. Support our work, sign the petition and help protect children from confusing theories about who they are. You can stop your municipality from purchasing textbooks with queer theory and you have the right to demand accountability and scientificity in your school's teaching about gender.
